Not an exhaustive list. You must list the restaurants areawise.
restaurant : Mehek, Indian restaurant, 45 London Wall Moorgate EC2. A surprisingly good restaurant in the City of London where there are hardly any good Indian restaurants. Very good food; quite distinctive in taste and well presented. The ambience is posh yet very cosy with an excellent bar and wine list.
Congokid: - creating an exhaustive list would be...exhausting

The First Floor Restaurant serves Modern British cuisine in a luxurious Victorian decor with chandelliers, upstairs on the second floor baroque style private dining rooms can be hired out for functions/events and downstairs the Gound Floor Bar is trendy with inexpensive delicious bar food served from the restaurant's kitchen. It's featured in many a TV programme including the 'As If' series and attracts the cream of Notting Hill to its late (midnight) license DJ nights. Well worth trying out. 186 Portobello Road, London W11 1LA, 020 7243 0072

Noodle King, 185 Bethnal Green Road, London E2, 020 7613 3131: Had a great meal, very tasty noodles plus lots of seafood, meat and veg. Reasonably priced and well worth going back to.

Meson Don Felipe - We had been here some years ago at lunchtime and thought it was good so took some friends for an after Theatre meal. We had booked but they'd lost the booking but fitted us in in a very cramped and fairly uncomfortable position. The food was fine but numerous requests for water were met with blank stares. It came eventually but when we asked for a refill for the very small carafe/bottle it was taken away and we never saw it again. Funnily enough they were very attentive about replacing the wine. A very disappointing introduction for our friends.

I think you have a great site. I really get a feel for what I am going to experience at the restaurants. Love for you to have some pictures of London and maybe of the restaurants even. Great site though.

The Poet in Creechruch Lane has changed management and has had a lovely facelift and a complete renewal of kitchen staff. I attended an oyster evening there last week and the staff were smiling and helpful and the food that was served alongside the oysters was imaginative and delicious. I was suitably impressed.

I agree with Sean Moloney, you must visit 1789 in Bow. It's bizarre but if you keep an open mind it's great fun. Puppets, fairy lights, mechanical toys and good food! Try it! address : 1789, 9a Fairfield Road, Bow

Great site! Ugg. This is one of those boxes which doesn't let me see what I am typing. Please excuse any bizarre typos? Thanks. I was just told of restaurantnotes.com, and posted a couple of times on Burger Club. I also saw that it's been dormant for a while, so I wanted to give you some information. My site is www.theburgerclub.com, and I'd love you to visit. We have a UK chapter which was pretty active on the last site I used (and where I created Burger Club originally). It's a long story, but I have my own site now, and am trying to rebuild the UK chapter. So join us!
Congokid: I only made one change!!

Cinnamon Cay, 88 Lavender Hill, SW11 - 020 7801 0932. Fusion restaurant in Battersea - amazing value. Do a special on MOndqay and Tuesdays as well as an early bird discount of 2 courses for a tenner - amazing when you consider the quality of the food. Normally racks up at about £80 for 2 if you don't go too overboard - great value wine list - Montrachet and Grand Cru St Emilion at £35 - they also stock Cloudy Bay - a must if you haven't tried it - very hard to get hold of and exquisite! For a whole hog for 2 of oysters and champagne to start, scallops and fillet mignon as mains (with the above wines), creme caramel with a twist, coffees and armanacs will set you back up to £120 - but it is worth every penny - and the staff are delightful too!!!
